Coronavirus Update

Dear Parishioners of St. John Bosco & Friends: I am writing to inform you that in order to control this virus that has plagued our nation & around the world the Archbishop has decided to close all the Churches in the Archdiocese beginning on Wednesday, 3/18 at noon. That means no public Masses are to be celebrated.  However, I will be celebrating Mass each day privately in the Church for the Mass intentions of the day & also for the intentions of our Bosco Family that all of us will be safe & healthy.  Looking ahead please listen to your local media outlet as to when the ban of public Masses will be lifted. I think all of us would agree, with all of our lives disrupted, that we all have to do our part to get rid of this virus.  Let us pray for one another for guidance & peace during this trying time. Since we will not have public Sunday Mass, I would ask all the faithful to make a spiritual Communion that since we cannot physically receive Our Lord in Holy Communion, we make a petition of desire for Our Lord to enter our minds, souls & hearts.  Also, I would ask all our parishioners & friends to continue to support SJB financially.  Right now our parish is in the “black” but can quickly go into the “red.”  In order to keep the parish financially sound I ask our parishioners & friends to please continue to support SJB financially.  You can do this in 2 ways: One way is to just send your envelopes through the mail.  The second way is just go on our & click on parish giving on the home page and follow the directions.  Thank you again for your financial support to this great parish. In closing, this is a trying time for all of us.  Let us watch out for one another & let us keep each other in our prayers.  Remember:  “This too shall pass.” Believe!

Father Gary Kramer, Pastor
